Easter in Scottsdale: Your 2026 Local Playbook

If you’re spending Easter weekend in Scottsdale this year, you’re in luck. Between the blooming desert and the perfect “pre-heat” April weather, the city really leans into the holiday. Whether you’re looking for a high-energy egg hunt for the kids, a boozy brunch with friends, or a quiet morning at the farm, there is plenty to do on April 4th and 5th.

Here’s the local scoop on how to navigate the weekend without the stress.

🐣 The “Anytime” Option (March 25 – April 7)

Easter Egg Painting & Dining at JoJo’s Shake Bar If you want the holiday vibes without the “Day-of” chaos, JoJo’s is a solid bet. It’s interactive, messy (in a good way), and very Instagrammable.

  • The Deal: You get a full meal (app, entrée, and one of their famous shakes) plus an egg painting kit.
  • The Vibe: Casual and fun. It’s just as great for a quirky date night as it is for the kids.
  • Local Tip: Book this for a weekday afternoon to beat the spring break crowds.

🐰 Saturday, April 4: The Big Event Day

Saturday is when the heavy lifting happens. If you have kids, here are three main hubs to choose from:

1. Hide & Peep at Scottsdale Quarter

  • When: 11 AM – 2 PM ($5, registration usually required)
  • Why we love it: It’s organized. You get the music, the face painting, and the Bunny photos, but you’re also steps away from great coffee and shops.
  • Local Tip: Park in the north garage; it’s usually easier to navigate when the Quarter gets busy.

2. Great Egg Hunt & Family Fair at Arizona Boardwalk

  • When: 10 AM – 2 PM (Free)
  • The Vibe: High energy and busy. Since it’s free and right next to the Aquarium, expect a crowd.
  • Pro Move: If you’re feeling ambitious, hit the Boardwalk early, then walk over to the Quarter for lunch.

3. Easter at the Farm (Hunkapi Farms)

When: Check-in at 10:45 AM

Why it’s different: If the “big mall” events feel too corporate for you, go here. It’s all about farm tours, animal feeding, and egg tosses. It feels much more authentic to the Arizona lifestyle.

4. Bunnanza at Scottsdale Civic Center

The Vibe: This is Scottsdale’s massive community “block party.” There’s a mimosa garden for the adults and plenty of space for the kids to run. It feels like a true spring festival.

⚾ Something Different: Baseball Camp

Salt River Fields (9 AM – 12 PM) Got a kid who’d rather swing a bat than hunt for eggs? Former MLB and minor league players run a specialized clinic here on Saturday. It’s $85 per player, but for a baseball-obsessed kid, it beats a chocolate bunny any day.

🌸 Sunday, April 5: Easter Day

Sunday in Scottsdale is all about the “Sunday Best” and a very long, relaxed meal.

The “Go Big” Brunch: Fairmont Scottsdale Princess If you want the quintessential Scottsdale Easter, this is it. It’s an investment, but they do it right—think massive buffets, live entertainment, and even Easter baskets delivered right to your table.

The Traditional Choice: North Scottsdale United Methodist For those looking for the spiritual side of the holiday, NSUMC hosts a 8 AM pancake breakfast followed by a 10 AM service. They do a great job of making the kids’ egg hunt feel integrated into the morning rather than just an afterthought.

The “Just Give Me Good Food” Shortlist: If you aren’t looking for a “themed” event, just grab a patio spot at one of these locals’ favorites:

  • Hash Kitchen: If you want a DJ and a DIY Bloody Mary bar.
  • The Henry: For a more polished, “neighborhood masterpiece” feel.
  • Breakfast Kitchen Bar: Great for a relaxed patio vibe and solid protein bowls.

Church Service

Easter just wouldn’t be complete without a church service to center the weekend. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate, we’d love to have you join us at Trinity Church. It’s always a powerful experience with a great message from Pastor Mark, high-energy worship, and live baptisms. They have plenty of options to fit your schedule, with four services on Saturday starting at 12:30 PM and another four on Easter Sunday beginning at 8:00 AM. It’s a welcoming environment and a great spot to bring the whole family to mark the holiday together.

💡 The 2026 Local Strategy

If I were planning the “perfect” weekend, here is how I’d do it:

  • Saturday Morning: Start at Hunkapi Farms for the fresh air, then head to Scottsdale Quarter for a late lunch and some shopping and finish with Easter Service at Trinity Church.
  • Sunday Morning: A late morning brunch at The Henry, followed by a walk to enjoy the April weather before the afternoon heat kicks in (it gets warm fast this time of year!).

Why Scottsdale? It’s the ease of it all. Within 15 minutes, you can go from a dusty farm to a luxury resort. Whether you’re a local or just visiting for the weekend, there’s no reason to spend Easter sitting at home.

What’s your move this year? Are you hitting the big festivals or keeping it low-key at a local brunch spot?
