New Restaurants at the PV Redevelopment (Phoenix)

The transformation of the old Paradise Valley Mall into PV is one of the most significant changes in North Phoenix. This area is quickly turning into a central hub for the neighborhood with a mix of modern residential, retail, and some impressive new dining options.

If you are looking for somewhere new to eat, here is a look at what is open now, and what is coming soon.

Must-Try Restaurants at PV

Blanco Reserva Cocina + Cantina

This is an elevated take on the classic Blanco. It has a modern Mexican vibe with great cocktails and a high-energy atmosphere. It works well for a happy hour or a casual date night.

The Melt

This is a great choice for comfort food. They specialize in gourmet grilled cheese, burgers, and shakes. It is simple, high quality food. I have a feeling this will become a place I will frequent.

CALA (Coming Soon)

One of the more anticipated openings in the development, this is the second location opening. CALA focuses on coastal Mediterranean food inspired by Greece, Italy, and Spain. It will likely be one of the more high-end dining experiences at PV. And if you don’t want to wait for this location to open, the other location is in Old Town Scottsdale.

Flower Child

A local favorite for healthy, fast-casual meals. It is a great option for a quick lunch or dinner, especially if you need vegan or gluten-free choices. This is a great casual option for families who on the go.

Federal Pizza

Known for wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches, Federal Pizza brings a mid-century modern look to the development. It is also a popular spot for weekend brunch.

Harry & Izzy’s (Coming Soon)

This is a well-known steakhouse concept from the team behind St. Elmo Steak House. You can expect a refined, upscale dining experience here.

The VIG (Coming Soon)

A Valley favorite for a relaxed neighborhood hangout. They offer quality bar food and a social atmosphere that fits perfectly with the new PV layout.

Velvet Taco (Coming Soon)

A unique concept with globally inspired flavors. This is not your standard taco shop, so it is worth a visit if you want something different.

Wren House Brewing

One of the best local breweries in the state. They are bringing craft beer and a strong community feel to the center of the development.

Quick Bites and Drinks

Beyond the sit-down restaurants, several other notable spots are opening:

  • Frost Gelato Shoppe: Authentic Italian gelato for dessert. Who doesn’t love gelato?
  • Hawaiian Bros Island Grill: Casual Hawaiian plate lunches. This is a great option if you’re looking for a drive-thru option.
  • Trevor’s Liquor: A combined bottle shop and bar experience, with some of the best pizza around.
  • Too Sweet Cakes: A new bakery opening soon. I haven’t tried it yet, but their Instagram makes my mouth water.

Why PV is Becoming a Destination

What sets PV apart is the design. It is built to be walkable and accessible, sitting right between North Scottsdale and the 51. You can grab coffee, meet for drinks, or sit down for a full dinner all in one place.

Final Thoughts

The PV redevelopment is quickly becoming a top destination for dining in North Phoenix. The whole development is exciting, and it will only get better as the final phases are completed. If you live nearby or are considering a move to this part of town, this is definitely a location to watch.
